Introducing The Starting Block

At our most recent TSSC Committee meeting how we communicate important information with members was discussed. It was noted that sometimes, especially in peak long course season, there can be a lot of emails and high potential for important information to be lost.

To combat this, we are trialling a weekly newsletter – The Starting Block – TTSSC Weekly.

This will be sent every Monday and will contain all the latest news in a minimal content format with links to more information that members can access if relevant. You will also be able to access the through our club website.

In preparation for the new season, we will be transitioning over to a new primary email address – info@townsvilletigersharks.org.au

As part of our transition to our new townsvilletigersharks.org.au email system, we ask all members to direct enquiries to info@townsvilletigersharks.org.au wherever possible. Your enquiry will then be forwarded to the appropriate committee member.

To help ensure you don't miss important club communications, please add this email to your safe sender/contact list, as some messages are currently being filtered into spam or junk folders. Please also see the full club email contact list to ensure these are added to your safe sender/contact list as well.

TTSSC Annual Camp – Places are Filling Fast!

**Please note the EOI sent earlier this year does not guarantee a spot at camp – bookings must be done through the link below**

Location: Magnetic Island Apex Camp

Date: 29 - 30 August 2026

Cost: $250 / swimmer – payment plans available – final payment due 14 August 2026

The venue only has capacity for 50 campers so get in quick as places are filling fast.

Gold Achiever’s Development Squad – 7 June 2026 – Email Invite Sent

Congratulations to our Gold Achiever’s Development Squad for the 2025/26 Season. Swimmers who achieve gold qualifying times will be attending a development afternoon this Sunday, 7 June. Thank you to those who have already RSVP’d. If you are yet to, please email Gillie as soon as possible for catering purposes.

Club Breakup & AGM –14 June 2026 – Flyer attached

AGM – all welcome to attend. Will be held during break up on 14 June 2026

Mel and Gillie are working behind the scenes to get a private Facebook group up and running for members as another avenue of club information dissemination. Keep an eye out next season for a link to join the group.
